Plan sharing rules version 2026-10-12. Photo and video rules version 2026-11-03.
Reckoner is for training. These are the rules for sharing a plan and for posting photos and video, what comes down, and what happens when something does. They are short on purpose.
Plan sharing
Share your plan and other lifters can train it. This part is what makes a plan safe to share.
What a shared plan is
A shared plan is your plan, with your name on it or with none, so other lifters can train it. Nobody copies your weights. Reckoner sets every lifter's own weights from what they can lift, so what you share is the shape of the training: the days, the lifts, the sets and the reps.
What makes a good shared plan
- Say how it trains, never what it will do for you. “Five days, push pull legs, heavy lifts first” is a plan page. “Lose 10 kg in 30 days” is a promise nobody can keep to a stranger.
- Sensible weekly sets for each muscle. For building muscle, Reckoner's own bands run from about 4 to 16 hard sets a week for a muscle group, and lower for strength. The reason is recovery: sets you cannot recover from build nothing, and they set back someone new to it. A plan is held when a muscle gets more than twice the top of its band.
- Gradual increases. Weight goes up a little at a time, when the last session said it was ready. Reckoner does that for everyone who trains your plan, so your page has no need to promise anything about it.
- Form before load. Main lifts first, while the lifter is fresh, at a weight they can control. If the plan depends on it, say so.
What comes down
- Promising results, like “lose 10 kg in 30 days”.
- Unsafe volume.
- Offensive words.
- Spam and links.
- Anything aimed at a person.
What happens when something comes down
- The first time, you fix it and it goes back up. It is live again the moment it passes the checks.
- With two strikes or more, we look at it first, and it stays down until we have.
- Each time a page comes down is a strike. It counts together with strikes from posts, photos and video, on the one ladder below.
- You always hear why. It comes by email, in your bell, and as a push if you turned pushes on. Reply to the email to appeal.
Only the public page ever comes down. Your plan and your training are not touched.
Where to find the rest
The same rules in plain legal terms are at the plan sharing terms, and they sit beside Reckoner's own terms.
Photos and video
Your photos and videos go up the moment you post them. The first time you post one, you agree to these rules.
- Keep it safe for work. Anybody might open the Feed at the gym or at their desk.
- Physique and progress photos are fine. So is training with your shirt off.
- No nudity and no sexual content. Male chests are fine. Female nipples are not.
- Only post what is yours to share, with the consent of everyone in it.
Lifters under 18 use Reckoner too, which is why the line is where it is.
What happens when something comes down
A post, photo or video comes down when somebody reports it and it breaks these rules. A report that breaks no rule costs you nothing. Each time something of yours comes down is a strike, and each strike fades 90 days after it was given. Strikes from plans and from posts count together.
- One strike is a warning, and nothing else changes.
- Two strikes: for the next 30 days, we check your posts before they go live.
- Three strikes: you can't post photos or videos. They're back when a strike fades.
- Four strikes: no posting, comments or sharing for 24 hours.
- Five strikes: no posting, comments or sharing for a week.
- Six strikes: the social side of Reckoner is off on your account for good.
The steps above are how we usually act, not a promise to wait for six. For something seriously harmful we may restrict or ban an account straight away. An account made or used to get around a restriction gets the same restriction.
None of this ever touches your training. You can always log, train and follow your progress. You always hear why something came down, by email and in your bell. Reply to the email to appeal.
