Plan sharing terms
Version 2026-10-12, last updated 13 October 2026
These terms are about sharing a plan: making a link to your plan, the public page it opens and the cards you can make from it. They sit beside Reckoner's terms, which still apply, and they are the same rules How to share a plan safely says in plain words.
The short version
- You share a plan you built. You are responsible for it and for what its page says.
- We may change the words on a plan's public page, take a page down, delete a link, or turn sharing off for an account. We always tell you why, and you can reply to appeal.
- Your plan and your training are never touched by any of that.
- Somebody who trains from a shared plan does so at their own risk, as everybody does who trains with Reckoner.
What sharing is
Sharing makes a link and a public page for one plan, or for one day of it. Anybody holding the link can read the page, and a lifter with an account can add a copy of the plan to their own. The page shows the plan's days, lifts, sets and reps, the words you wrote for it and Reckoner's own read of it. It never shows your weights, your history, your bodyweight or your email address. It shows your display name only if you chose to share with your name.
What you give us to show it
When you share a plan you give Reckoner permission to show it: to display the page and the cards made from it, to make a preview image for the link, and to let other lifters add a copy to their own accounts. The permission is free, covers anywhere in the world, and lasts for as long as the link is up. It ends when you turn the link off or delete it, or when we take it down. Copies other lifters already added are theirs and stay theirs.
What is not allowed
A plan page may not be, or say, any of these:
- A promised result. A plan page says how a plan trains, never what it will do for a stranger.
- Unsafe volume. A week that asks for far more hard sets on the same muscles than most lifters can recover from.
- Offensive wording. Anything that breaks the rules for what can be public on reckoner.fit.
- Spam or links. Plan pages are for the plan only. They are not for advertising, or for sending people somewhere else.
- Anything aimed at a person. That includes harassing, naming or targeting somebody.
Nor may a plan page be used for anything unlawful.
What we may do
We may, at any time and for any of the reasons above:
- change the title or description on a plan's public page. We change words only. Your lifts, sets and reps stay as you built them;
- take a plan's page down, so the link stops working;
- delete a shared link and its page for good;
- turn plan sharing off for your account, which takes every page you shared down and switches off Share for you.
We use a ladder. The first time a page comes down, you fix it and publish it again, and it goes back up as soon as it passes the automatic checks. If a page comes down a second time within 90 days, it is looked at before it goes back up. Turning sharing off is a decision a person makes, and nothing here does it automatically. We may skip steps when a page is plainly harmful.
Anybody can report a plan page from the page itself. A report says which plan and why, and never who sent it.
You will always hear why. Every one of these actions is sent to you by email, as a notice in your bell and, if you turned pushes on, as a push. Taking a page down or turning sharing off never touches your plans or your training.
Appeals
If you think we got it wrong, reply to the email we sent you, or write to hello@reckoner.fit. A person reads it. We will say what we decided and why.
The plan is your responsibility
You are responsible for the plan you share and for everything its page says. By sharing you confirm that the words are yours, that you are allowed to share them, and that you have read the rules above and agree to them. A plan page is information you chose to publish. It is not endorsed by Reckoner, and an automatic check passing is not a promise that a plan is right for anyone.
Training from a shared plan
A shared plan was written by another lifter, not by a coach who has seen you. A lifter who follows a shared plan trains at their own risk. It is not medical advice and it is not personal advice. Reckoner sets the weights from your own numbers and the automatic checks look for plainly excessive volume, but neither can know your technique, your health or your history. The health check every lifter completes when they join, and the lifting responsibility set out in Reckoner's terms, apply to a shared plan exactly as they apply to a plan Reckoner built for you. Stop and get advice if something hurts.
The version
This is version 2026-10-12. When the rules change, the version changes, and the first time you share after that, the app asks you to agree again.
